IDCEC Course Given at Addison Headquarters to local Design Community

6th February 2017

The second hosted luncheon in past 4 months was a success.  Local Design and Architect professionals filled our dedicated design center for an in depth study into acoustical room treatments, sound isolation practices, and interior design pitfalls to avoid for private home theaters.

The course also touched on why acoustical systems are essential to the performance of a high quality home theater.  That proper sound isolation ensures that your client will be able to enjoy their theater without disturbing the rest of the house.  A review into the current national theater interior trends and how to avoid the most common performance mistakes designing a home cinema.  As well as why dimensioning your theater early will maximize performance and allow for comfortable spacing of theater seating and custom sofa and sectionals.

“Very little of the sound from the speakers is heard directly. Nearly all of it is reflected before it reaches our ears, and the material doing the reflecting makes an enormous difference.”

The course is part of an ongoing training and educational program by CinemaTech to aid the design and architectural communities with our detailed experiences in designing nearly 100 luxury private home theaters a year, across the country and throughout the world.

If you would like to have a private "Lunch and Learn" hosted at our facilities or yours, please contact us today.  We will organize the event for IDCEC credit points as well as cater lunch for you and your team / associates.
